Dewinterizations after April 15th & winterizations before October 15th will keep your RV’s plumbing systems from freezing and causing extensive damage here in New York State. With careful consideration to the weather/ temperatures, these date can be flexible, and usage of the RV’s heating systems can prevent freezing issues during lower night temperatures.
JB’s offers both winterizations & dewinterization packages for the RV’s plumbing system.
Dewinterizations
JB’s Dewinterization package includes complete flushing of antifreeze from the RV’s plumbing system, flushing/ cleaning of the water heater, installation of the anode rod/ drain plug, revering of the water heater by-pass, and filling of the water heater. When possible JB’s will fill the fresh water tank for purpose of flushing all antifreeze from the plumbing system, and to test the integrity of the plumbing system before hooking to city water presser.
JB’s will replace worn out anode rods/ drain plugs when needed, test the operation of the water heater on gas & electric as equipped , and we are equipped to handle tankless water heaters too.

JB’s can also extend slide-out rooms, test & adjust awnings, or any other tasks or repairs that may be needed at this time. Just list all extra tasks or repairs when requesting a service call, and we can create a more accurate estimate as well as have enough time for the technician to adhere to their busy schedule.
Winterizations
JB’s also offers a winterization package that includes drainage of the water heater, by-passing of the water heater, drainage of the fresh water tank, and the filling of all water lines with antifreeze.(includes all p-trap drains) As with a our Dewinterization package we can add other tasks to your winterization too, like roof debris removal, retraction of the slide-outs, and removal of the water hose & power cord. Please make sure to include any extra jobs or repairs that may be needed in addition to the winterization of the RV water systems.
JB’s can also make on-site water system repairs, upgrade to tankless water heating, and dewinterize/ winterize tankless water heaters. Ask about tankless water heater options, and the pro’s & con’s of tankless water heating. (Pricing, operation, materials, and the impact to your RV.) All black, gray, and galley tanks should be all clean, drained, and treated(normal routine) before winterization is preformed for proper winterization of the waste tanks.
